Music scholars have full use of the extensive Music facilities available at Wath Academy.

Facilities include:

  • Two dedicated music rooms with lighting sound and projection.
  • Other performance and practice areas.
  • Stage with professional lighting and sound.
  • Recording equipment to film and review practice sessions.
  • Specialist staff.

Music scholars take part in many events, one of the many highlights is the opportunity to perform in the Christmas concert. Music scholars will also have the opportunity to work with younger students to gain experience of music production.

The fondest memories I have of my education are of the time I spent at Wath Sixth Form, especially in the Music department. I felt like part of a family and although my main instrument was the clarinet, I was encouraged to take part in other musical activities, both within the Sixth Form and around the local community. My only regret is only going to the Sixth Form and not starting there in Year 7!
