Committing a crime could mean you end up with a criminal record or a caution. When you are approaching the time to leave school and start looking at college courses and apprenticeships, you may be required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check. If you have a criminal record, this could stop you from being accepted on your chosen course or apprenticeship and could mean the job you always wanted is no longer possible.

Think before you act! Remember, you don’t have to follow the crowd!

As a school we do not tolerate or condone criminal activity. We are however aware that sometimes you may be involved with groups of people and be involved in situations which are gang related. This could be difficult for you to get out of, you may be 'in too deep', 'stuck', or scared. If you feel like you are in this situation you can call ChildLine on 0800 1111, or visit their website for more information. The NSPCC has some useful information available here.

Alternatively you can speak to the safeguarding team, located near G17 / ICT Technicians Workroom, or talk to your PYL or AYL who will inform Safeguarding staff.
